The COA’s mission is to provide a safety net for low income Covington residents by assisting with emergency food, working with the utility companies and the Salvation Army to avoid disconnects, and with landlords to stop evictions. Covington Outreach Association became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in September of 2006. We are supported by nine local churches, local residents, the Miami County Foundation, Covington Schools, Covington Eagles, Bushels for Hunger, Lady Eagles, Community Chest, Scouts, the American Legion, Krogers, Piqua Foundation, Meijer, WalMart and many more business and community organizations.  We have been able to continue these outreach ministries as well as bring additional support to families through the Back2School Program, Senior Citizens Programs and Adopt-a-Child Christmas Program.
                                  
We invite you to support COA programs that are so vital to our community.  In 2010 we worked with more over 60 families a month in need of emergency assistance.  We are pleased to note that  90% of the donations to COA are given directly back to the community through our local ministries due to very low organizational overhead and many wonderful dedicated volunteers.
